In June 2021, tech entrepreneur and racehorse owner, Graham Smith-Bernal, acquired the Newsells Park Stud, home to leading stallions Nathaniel and Without Parole.
Set in 1200 acres of magnificent parkland on the Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire borders, Newsells boasts one of the finest mansion house and stud complexes in the country. The new owner beat some impressive heavy-hitters including international royalty to the purchase having convinced the previous owner’s family of his sincerity in wanting to develop its bloodstock further.
Graham Smith-Bernal, who made his fortune in developing state of the art legal software used in court proceedings worldwide including major litigation trials such as that of O J Simpson in the the US and legal inquiries such as Grenville in the UK, is now embracing a new passion for breeding the world’s best racehorses.
A new mansion home requires fine art to decorate its walls. Graham has chosen the paintings of a number of leading contemporary artists to help him in this endeavour, one of whom is Vineta Sayer. A fine collection of her larger paintings can now be found hanging on its walls at Newsells Park.
