Equestrian Art International’s first major exhibition of the 2021 season ran throughout the 4 day Ebor Festival at York. For much of the time the weather was kind to racegoers who had been starved of first class horse racing throughout the Covid crisis and they came back in numbers to witness both great racing sport and new equestrian fine art in our Blue Rider Gallery inside the course.
The highlight of the Festival was the titanic battle between Stradivarius and Spanish mission, where the lead changed hands several times in the final furlongs of the race, when Stradivarius got up to win by a head and became the third time winner of the Weatherby Lonsdale Cup.
Pictured is one happy customer of Equestrian Art International who quickly snapped up an original painting of Stradivarius by Rob Hefferanon on exhibition in our gallery, just 20 minutes after the horse’s victory in the race.
