A New Star Enters The Field

Janet Menzies, Fine Art columnist of The Field magazine saw the work of pop artist Dee Taylor at one of Equestrian Art International’s exhibitions at Cheltenham Racecourse and was immediately captivated by the colour, humour and originality of his paintings.  So much so, that she chose to feature Dee’s work in the January 2021 edition of the magazine.

Dee’s work is very much in the style of the late, great pop artist Roy Lichtenstein, but with a strong equestrian flavour, rendered with a skill worthy of the legend.  The potential for racing as a pop art culture is what really excites the artist and makes his work so original as a style in what is traditionally a conservative genre.

The full article on Dee and his paintings can be read in the January 2021 edition of The Field magazine pages 104 and 105.
